Mariners are advised of newly identified submerged obstructions in the approaches to Lae Harbour.
Details:
- Obstruction located approx. 2.5 NM southeast of main channel buoy
- Chart correction issued: PNG Chart 4623 (temporary update)
- Marking buoy deployment expected by 30 June 2026
Instructions to Mariners:
- Exercise extreme caution when transiting the area
- Maintain reduced speed and enhanced lookout
- Update onboard charts and ECDIS systems immediately
